Nuran Clinic is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of our clients’ personal health information. We collect, use, and disclose information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) of Ontario and College of Registered Psychotherapy Ontario’s (CRPO) ethics and standards.

We collect personal and health information only as necessary to provide psychotherapy and related services. This may include:

  • Name, contact information, and emergency contacts

  • Health history, treatment notes, and assessment information

  • Appointment records and billing information

  • Insurance details, where applicable

Information is collected through intake forms, sessions, secure communication platforms, and administrative correspondence.
 

2. Use of Information

Your information is used solely for purposes such as:

  • Providing psychotherapy and clinical care

  • Scheduling appointments and communicating with you

  • Processing payments and insurance claims

  • Meeting legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations

We do not sell, trade, or use your information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

We do not share your information with IRCC, or your lawyers without your explicit consent or to meet our legal obligations.

Your information is kept confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent except in the following circumstances:

  • When required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, child protection concerns)

  • To comply with court orders or regulatory requirements

  • With your written consent for coordination of care or insurance purposes

All records are stored securely using privacy-compliant electronic and/or physical systems. Reasonable safeguards are in place to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

You have the right to request access to your personal information and to request corrections if you believe the information is inaccurate or incomplete, subject to legal limitations.
